Carl R Rogers
Being a human is challenging at times, and the challenges may be more than we feel able to manage alone or even with the help of those close to us. Effective therapy provides an opportunity to meet these challenges through access to compassionate support and an invitation to explore one’s own personal and relational resources.
My desire to is to help individuals and families move closer to the life they want for themselves by providing a non-judgemental, nurturing environment in which hurts can be healed and new pathways revealed.

Welcome! I’m Areana, a Clinical Psychologist with nearly 30 years of experience working with children, adolescents, adults and families in a variety of settings, including community and government mental health services, community counselling agencies, schools and other education settings, and private practice. Throughout all these experiences, I have sought to help people better understand themselves and the relationships and experiences that have shaped them, as well as supporting them, with empathy and connection, to explore where they might go next in life.
I offer psychological therapy for individuals, couples and families, including children aged 8 years and above, and adolescents.
Sessions may be either in-person in Coorparoo (Brisbane/Meeanjin) or via telehealth. I see clients who are facing all kind of challenges, including but not limited to:
